On April 15th, 2010, CHFA chair Deborah Callbreath officially announced the association’s new national public relations campaign to the media.

Deborah presented the campaign through a media teleconference and spoke in depth about the natural health and organic products industry, and the significance it has for Canadian consumers, the economy and the national labour force. Deborah explained to the media that the new campaign focuses on highlighting the long-term value of preventive health measures, revealing the most up-to-date research on key industry products, and educating consumers on the safety and efficacy of natural health products.

Deborah spent a significant portion of her media address on several specific member products that were shown to have the ability to reduce the risk of developing certain cancers.

Further information on these products can be found in the March 2010 issue of the CHFA publication, Research & Your Health.

At the conclusion of Deborah’s address, she fielded questions from CBC regarding member products and the new campaign.

CHFA looks forward to getting member input on the association’s new initiative through member surveys which will be distributed in the near future.
